Last Week

In Science we reminded ourselves of animal classification. We looked at what animals had in common, some of their differences, the characteristics of each classification group and the way animals have adapted to their environment.

In Geography we compared two contrasting locations: Suriname and the United Kingdom. We discovered that Brighton and Paramaribo have a lot in common but that village life is very different.

In Maths we have worked hard on the empty numberline skill, which helps us work out adding and subtracting in 10’s and 1’s.

In English we have focussed on sentences again. We have also edited some of the riddles that were written by children in previous years. We even used dictionaries to do so. Next week we will write our own riddles for the animals we wrote about in our home learning.
