Marble Run

The new curriculum expects the children to be able to use certain skills in computing earlier. Not all these skills require computers however. Today a group of children worked with Adam from Everyone Can Program. They were given pieces of a custom made marble run to explore and were asked to complete little challenges. This enabled them to develop their computational thinking (thinking like a computer). Children learn about algorithms, tinkering and debugging in a playful way.

  1. What an imaginative way to approach computer learning, definately going to see if Noah can show me what sort of things you did with the marble run we have at home.
