All Kingfisher children have recorder lessons every Thursday afternoon. This is what we have learned so far:
You have your left hand at the top.
You say t-t-t into the recorder.
You need to check that you cover the holes well.
We can play a B, A and G.
We can recognise a crotchet note which is one count and a quaver which is half a count. Some of us know what a rest looks like.
Today we read sheet music and played a tune with two notes. We know what the A and B look like on the lines of the stave.
Next week we will play a tune with B, A and G.
Children who have a recorder at home can ask for copies of the songs we are learning, to practise at home if they wish to!
