We welcomed 4 new children to our class. We are sure we’ll be good friends very soon.
Lots of children had been very busy in the holiday. Morris made an amazing kingfisher painting.
Today we started with a thinking skill. We tried to find lots of words that we could make using the letters in the word kingfisher. We also made 3D paper models of kingfishers, made our own word searches and sorted out our work and reading books. We made 3D Lego models of kingfishers.
At the end of the afternoon we had our first recorder lesson. We learned that our left hand goes on the top, that we use three fingers and a thumb to cover the top holes and that we gently say t-t-t into the ‘beak’ of the recorder. We played some long and short notes but we didn’t quite know how to stop playing!
We had a very good first day and our teacher Rachel thinks that we could be an amazing class if we keep this up!
