Opening of the Olympic Games 776 BC

Today we travelled back in time. We heard the Greek myth about Prometheus who stole fire from Zeus to give it to the people. We then worked out how to make an Olympic torch. We took out torches around the school to announce the opening of the games. We chanted citius, altius, fortius which means faster, higher, stronger.
